It’s in the Darkest Moments When Tides Turn!
Running a fitness business during COVID was not for the faint of heart. Now less then a year later from our last mandatory closure of gyms in Albuquerque, we have survived but are now going into some incredible economic headwinds. The pressures of running a business are pretty intense. Add on the pressure of rebuilding after such devastation we experienced just magnifies things 10 times more.
I write this to relate to those of you reading facing pressure and stress in your life. I write to let you know that you must take care of your mind, body, and spirit. You must fuel your body with the nutrients that will provide the energy and building blocks needed to be in top condition. You must provide movement to your body to allow the blood to flow and the muscles to be stressed in order for it to be in top condition for this thing called life. You must provide relief to your mind by slowing it down and allowing it respite from the chaos it experiences. You must fill your spirit tank with love and gratefulness daily and sometimes hourly. You must treat this one body of ours like the prized possession it is. We only have one of these!
When your mind, your body, and your spirit are working in concert together you can face new levels in life that many others can’t. Most quit because one or all begin to faulter and fade. Don’t let this be you. Make sure that all three are always cared for so that you may achieve that which only others dream. The only way you can achieve greatness is through consistent and long-term effort in all you do and by never giving up.
Many of my fellow gym owners have quit because they could not handle the pressures of this business. I have been able to manage because my body, my mind and my spirit have been cared for by myself and by those around me. During my darkest of times, it was the passion of my team that drove me to not give up. This filled my spirit when my mind was weakest. It is my body that allows me to provide the grueling schedule of waking up at 4 am and not getting out of here until 8 pm daily so I may teach and train my FUCKING AMAZING AND DEDICATED CLIENTS!
I would not be able to persevere if I hadn’t cared for all that which I have. I can now face the dark moments and know that I am capable getting through it. Can you?
Is your body at its peak or is it hurting and not doing what you want it to anymore?
Is your mind settled and steady or crazy and chaotic?
Is your spirit filled with love and are you grateful or are you negative and alone?
If you said no to any of these, you need to act. Time is wasting!
I can help! I’ve been there and done that. I use fitness as my tool to coach people to find their inner badass again. Let me help! Reach out! firstname.lastname@example.org!
