Do You Give Up Yet?

We are in week two of Rise of the Phoenix with well over 100 individuals all striving to improve themselves one way or another. In my 20-year history of training individuals it never ceases to amaze me that the bell curve rule still applies to this group as well. About 10% of these individuals are already ahead of the pack doing the required work and then some, 80% are doing the work required and about 10% are already complaining and finding excuses to either not do the work or are contemplating quitting.

I stopped giving refunds many years ago and am very forthright to this when anyone trains under my direction as it is an additional tool for me to use to have you follow through with your commitment to the end. If you make a commitment stick with it. When it gets rough as it should, stick with it. When it becomes overwhelming as life does, stick with it. This is why very few in this world have the most success.

If I just quit when I became a trainer when things got hard, I would never have learned the lessons I needed to overcome the obstacles that I face today and I would have never earned my reputation of “never giving up.” See I practice what I preach, and I live my talk. I have failed big time in my life and a couple of times very publicly – meaning headline tv news. Talk about shame, discomfort and wanting to end everything, but I didn’t. Because I didn’t give up, I have had some of the best and most rewarding times of my life after that darkness.

I have coached individuals who were told they would never walk again on their own two feet, I have seen suicidal females regain their mojo and become the beautiful person I knew they could, the friendships and team that I have surrounding me today is beyond that which I ever thought comprehendible in my past, and just the vast numbers of people I am able to inspire under the eVOLV umbrella every day like our current ROP group has been nothing less then a miracle and blessing. If I would have given up – this would never have happened. Also, a side note – this took over a decade to gain – not a week or overnight.

What type of person are you? Do you give up after just beginning when things get rough? May I suggest just stop the negative chatter in your brain by acting and just by showing up! That’s all you need to do. Quit making excuses and just show up! That is the action you need to take to overcome your feelings of wanting to quit. This advice is invaluable – so just show up!

It’s your time to just show up. ROP 2021 is closing registration this weekend. It’s the best deal in the Southwest and if you just show up for the remainder 3 months – you will transform for the better!
